"Live From The Islands" co-hosts David Ossman and Judith Walcutt will
return to the air with two special “Best of the Islands” samplers this coming

On April 10th he and his son Orson survey "Cowboys and Indians" in music.
Orson made his radio debut at the age of two.

On April 17th, David profiles the most famous review series of all, the
Ziegfeld Follies, which originally appeared on stage, screen and radio.

2004 - LIVE FROM THE ISLANDS at
Burning Word Festival
Saturday, April 24, 2004 - Noon to 2pm

"Live From The Islands," hosted by Judith Walcutt and David Ossman,
returns to KSER 90.7 Saturday, April 24, from Noon until 2pm,
with a live broadcast from Greenbank Farm for the Burning Word Festival,
sponsored by the Washington Poets Association. Judith and David will
host a two-hour program of poetry, music and interviews.

On May 1st and 8th, the "Audiola" presents "Black Magic," a two-part
program on the great, but rarely heard, all-African American cast Broadway
reviews and musicals, on stage shortly after the turn of the 20th century and
continuing through the 1920s and ‘30s.

On May 15th, Ossman presents "1955 – My Favorite Year," and on May 22nd,
the encore series concludes with a program celebrating the Broadway
collaborations of Fred Astaire and George Gershwin.

Ossman and Walcutt will produce and co-host, with other regional community
radio hosts, when “Live From The Islands” and KSER visit The Seattle
Folklife Festival over the Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31.

Live coverage of the three-day Folklife Festival will be heard on Community
Radio stations from Bellingham to Olympia, all serving a mission to entertain
and enlighten their local audiences independently of mass media and to
continue the tradition of local focus, public access, and training that community
radio established over 50 years ago.

Producer Judith Walcutt promises the return of “Live From The Islands” with
"An exciting late Spring and Summer of live music Festival broadcasts, more
cabaret shows at the Edgecliff restaurant, travel to the San Juans and Gulf
Islands, a week of special broadcast events during Langley’s Choochokam
Arts Festival in July and especially more comedy and radio theatre, which our
audiences love!"

In 2004, David Ossman and Judith Walcutt will host
"Live From The Islands" at various functions and festivals
for KSER listeners, LIVE from various locations.
